The Security Council resolution is disappointing, and it allows an occupying power to commit open war crimes, which constitutes a grave violation of human rights

The International Observatory for Monitoring and Documentation of Human Rights condemns Violations in the strongest possible terms - The UN Security Council's decision not to agree on a condemnation of the crimes committed by the Israeli occupying state in the Gaza Strip, only to request a "transparent" investigation in the circumstances of the fall of (63) martyrs, and the injury of more than (1600) participants in the marches "peaceful return" which coincided with the anniversary of the Nakba, and the day after the transfer of the American Embassy to the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Therefore, we express our deep regret and disappointment at the decision of the UN Security Council, which held its emergency session at dawn on Saturday at the request of the State of Kuwait, at a time when UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterich called for an independent and transparent investigation into the incident despite the crimes committed against the visual media of the whole world.
In this context, we stress our "human rights" rhetoric and strongly denounce the American administration's declaration of the occupied city of Jerusalem as the capital of the occupying Power in flagrant violation of the provisions of international law, the conventions and resolutions of the Security Council maybe the most recent of which is the UN General Assembly resolution A / RES / 72/15 of 30 November 2017 on Jerusalem, in which it affirmed the relevant Security Council resolutions of previous years. We note that the decision to transfer the embassy And any other embassy to the occupied city of Jerusalem is unacceptable and does not erase the fact that the Israeli occupying state illegally occupied part of Jerusalem in 1967, and today seeks full control of it, in flagrant violation of all international laws and standards.

The International Observatory for Monitoring and Documentation of Human Rights Violations asserts that the mass killing of the Israeli occupation forces is a systematic crime stemming from a political will aimed at shedding the blood of the defenseless Palestinian people. The American support and the failure of the international community contributed to the impunity of those involved, "From punishment over the years, and this encouraged the occupation government and its military and police to commit more crimes that escalate war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The Observatory calls on the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, in accordance with his powers to act promptly and immediately, to open a legal investigation to bring all those involved in the recent and past crimes in Gaza City and all the Palestinian territories to a fair international trial.

The Observatory calls on international and local civil society organizations, especially human rights defenders and the media, to intensify efforts to pressure their governments to intervene urgently to protect the Palestinian people, who are systematically subjected to genocide.
